Why I built this

By day I'm a quantitative analyst, but nights and weekends I'm building Simpl Service. I spent too many hours sitting in tire shop lobbies and walking to the mechanic in the summer heat. Plenty of time to think about how there has to be a better way. Everyone I talk to says the same thing: they hate being stuck while their car is being worked on. I built Simpl Service to solve that, so you don't have to figure out who will fix it and how you'll get it there.

The stuff people ask before they book.

What's the difference between the three levels?▼

Book Only: we find the shop and book it, you drive yourself. Book + Move: we also pick up and return your car. Full Service: we do everything plus coordinate a rental car so you're never without wheels.

What if the mechanic finds more work than expected?▼

We'll let you know what they find and get you a quote. You decide if you want it done. Nothing gets done without your approval.

Do you mark up the mechanic's price?▼

No. You pay the mechanic's exact quote plus our service fee ($50 for Book Only, $200 for Book + Move, $250 for Full Service). We show you both numbers before you approve.

Can I add a car wash or fuel top-off?▼

Yes, car wash and fuel top-off are available as add-ons on Book + Move and Full Service. You'll see the pricing before you approve.

What if I don't like the shop you chose?▼

Tell us before we start and we'll find a different one. You can also pick your own shop when you book.

How does the rental car work?▼

With Full Service, we coordinate a rental and have it delivered to you before we pick up your car. When the work's done, we swap them back.

Is my car insured while you have it?▼

Yes. Your car is fully covered under our insurance policy during the entire transport to and from the shop. Every driver is extensively background checked and vetted to provide the highest level of service and safety. If anything happens while your car is in our care, we handle it.
